Friso, a renowned fumigation and pest management company, is carrying out “Pest Free Campaign” during this festive season and the whole of next year, 2024.
The exercise is a process of managing and preventing pests such as insects, rodents, and other nuisance animals from destroying crops, homes, workplaces, institutions, and other places.
On this mission, experts from Friso is identifying, controlling, and eliminating pest problem by applying physical control method to manage infestation by keeping pests away and chemical control method to eradicate pests including nuisance animals.
With corporate social responsibility in mind, experts from Friso went to Dzenza Secondary School in Lilongwe to deal with the widespread of bedbugs that has caused extreme sadness at the school.
Headmaster Kinly Chavula said the infestation of bedbugs has been there more than ten years. He said the bedbug infestation has crippled education and brought discomfort among students at the institution.
Chavula said the institution has been hiring fumigation services from companies to deal with the problem but without success. “But we are now confident that Friso has completely removed, get rid of, and put an end to the bedbug infestation at our institution.”
Sekani Falinya, managing director of Friso, said bedbugs are parasitic insects that feed on blood, usually at night. He said their bites can result in a number of health impacts including skin rashes, psychological effects, and allergic symptoms. “Bedbugs are hardy and can live for several months without blood meal while hiding in furniture, bags, suitcases, and clothes.”
Falinya assured the management that Friso has done away with infestation of bedbugs at the institution. “I want to assure the management of this school that Friso has get rid of the bedbugs permanently at this institution.”
