Willy Bwanali, a young man based in Blantyre and usually donates time, money, experience, skills, and talents to help create a better world, on Christmas day threw a Christmas Lunch party for children of Montfort Learning Difficulties Resource Center, a section of Montfort Demonstration School at Nguludi in Chiradzulo district.
42 children with their parents and guardians were invited to the party and all were present.
Bwanali, a young philanthropist who has assisted many children for many years, said the idea was to put a smile on the children during the festive season. He said God gave his son, Jesus Christ to mankind and there was a need to give generously during Christmas season. “Let me take this opportunity to thank all well-wishers for their donations towards this function.”
The philanthropist said children at the facility need good nutrition, psychosocial support, access to quality health care, and access to daily basic needs. “I will be glad, to see well-wishers donating wheelchairs, school uniform, school materials, and food items to compliment quality education at this facility.”
Chrissy Chitanda, in charge of the facility, hailed Bwanali for organising the Christmas Lunch party for the needy children at the facility. “We are very glad that this Christmas Lunch has made us celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ as a family.”
